About the Project

To be able to imagine a better way for ourselves and our families, and then to work for it -- that is the American Dream. That story may not be told as often as we'd like in this country. But it is told more often in this country than anywhere else on earth.

Faith in the Dream is a call to action. We must reaffirm our American values and renew our commitment to generational responsibility to keep the American Dream within reach of everyone – everyone – in our country. This book lays out a path to do that: by rejecting stale slogans for a ‘politics of conviction’ and standing firm in defense of the ideals that have made the Dream possible for so many of us.

My story is just one small example of the possibility of the Dream. What is yours?

Join the conversation. Where have you seen the values of opportunity, equality and fair play at work in your life? Who are the people who have helped you along the way? Have you seen grassroots political organizing or activism that has been effective? What was the issue and what was the outcome? Are you or someone you know making a difference in your community? If there are better ways to drive an agenda about promoting the American Dream, what are they?
